

Space Traders And Raiders is a turn-based, couch co-op, action game made in the Unity as my capstone project for my degree. It was made using the entire class as a development studio. We all came together to make this game; separating into teams of art, design, engineering, and production. I was a Narrative Designer and Primary Game Designer in the project.

This is the title scene of the our game, Space Traders And Raiders. Shortened S.T.A.R. I was the Primary Co-Designer of most of the mechanics of combat and gameplay.

The gameplay consists of the player picking a home planet, generating resources, building ships, trading resources to gain advantage, and destroying those deemed your enemies. Victory conditions involve either being the last remaining, or owning the most. The gameplay is turned based; having everyone choose their next action and having them occur simultaneously.

Our communication was both in and out of person. Using both in person meetings and Scrums during and out of class time. As well as using Discord and Google Docs to communicate online, trade ideas, and contain all documentation and information. Including our Art Bible, TDD and GDD.
