Chloe's Adventure is a block puzzle pixel game made in the Construct 3 Online game engine for my class, "Intro to Video Game Design and Culture". I was in a team of five where I was the Designer and Producer of the project. I coordinated and mediated the team as well as wrote all the documentation for the project. The art and visuals are all originally made.

This is the title scene of the our game, "Chloe's Adventure". The game has 7 levels, each level increasing in complexity after the next. At the end of the final level, you are transferred to a win screen.

Our game consisted of a block puzzle game where you had to get the Snowball into the Ice Hole Block. Other Mechanics consisted of pushing the snowball across the ice where it wouldn’t stop until it hit an edge, more Snowballs and Ice Holes per level and rocks that you had to strategically use to beat the level.

This is a screenshot of the gameplay of our game. As you can see, the art style is that of a snowy cave-like consistency, which gives reason to the previously mentioned Mechanics. The game is surrounded by a border and has a close-up view of the main character on the side, showing her actions and movements up close as you push and win. This was a stylistic choice by us to give a unique feeling to our game.

This is a file of code from the game. Construct 3 uses block-style coding scripts as its main form of programming. We had some issues because that style of coding can get quite limited and irritating. However, we managed to persevere.

Here is the actual game you can play on itch.io! It was exported using HTML5. The game itself lacks sound or music. However, it is a nice, simple, well made game.
